La aceptación de la violencia contra la mujer en la pareja en Argentina: factores asociados y diferencias de género

A partir del análisis de la Encuesta Mundial de Valores de Argentina (2013), el artículo explora los factores asociados con la formación de las actitudes individuales hacia la violencia contra la mujer, así como también posibles diferencias de género. Por un lado, los resultados indican que el género, la edad, la educación, la satisfacción con la propia vida, la ideología patriarcal, las actitudes de rol de género y la utilización del diario y la televisión como fuentes de información influyen en estas actitudes. Por otro lado, no se detectan diferencias entre varones y mujeres en el efecto de estos factores. En la medida que la aprobación de la violencia contra la mujer constituye uno de los factores de riesgo para su ocurrencia, el artículo sugiere posibles estrategias de intervención para desterrar este problema social. El sistema educativo y los medios de comunicación se presentan como herramientas eficaces para concienciar a los individuos. Mayores esfuerzos deben ser destinados en los varones y los jóvenes en la medida que son los sujetos más proclives a mantener actitudes que perpetúan la violencia.Descargas
